The Government published its 204-page Biomass Strategy Document on 10th August 2023. The strategy re-affirms the role of biomass as part of the 2050 zero carbon strategy, quoting “In the short term (2020s) government will continue to facilitate sustainable biomass deployment through a range of incentives and requirements covering power, heat and transport”.
