We’re currently in the middle of a major boiler relocation project in mid Wales for a timber frame building manufacturer.
This projected had really highlighted our fabrication, coded welded capabilities and installation capabilities, producing work of an exceptional standard.
Lowfield Timber Frames Ltd is a large timber frame manufacturer and wood processing facility in Shropshire. There was an existing Justsen 995kW wood chip boiler on site providing process heat. There became a requirement to move the boiler to another part of the site and carry out a full re-distribution of heat to a series of buildings including large workshops, offices and a pub.
BBSM carried out all works including decommissioning the existing boiler, followed by relocation and re-installation, both mechanical and electrical. Modifications were required to the existing fuel storage due to its new location. BBSM’s inhouse coded fabrication team manufactured bespoke bidirectional augers to meet the unique design.
BBSM completed a full heat distribution and plant room design and carried out all installation works. Bespoke Low loss headers and distribution manifolds were designed and built in house. A bespoke touch screen controls package with remote access has been designed, installed, and commissioned by BBSM which will allow full control and prioritisation of the heat distribution to the various buildings whereby an anti condensation program will take over to protect the machinery when there is a high demand at other parts of the site.
